The course involves assessing and coding patterns of interaction through video observation. Trainees will receive a manual and a variety of relevant materials and hand outs at the start of the course. The training is split into 2 3- day slots. Competency to code will be assessed by a reliability test after the training for which there will be certification. At the end of part 1 the trainees will be expected to complete the coding of a number of video interactions which will be reviewed at the start of the second part of the course. At the end of the six days trainees will code a practice reliability test of 13 interactions for which they will receive feedback. They will then assess and code the reliability test of 20 interactions. Those achieving reliability will receive a certificate from Dr Pat Crittenden stating their level of reliability Course participants will be expected to provide a 3 minute video clip of parent infant interaction as part of their certification. |
