Court Skills for Professionals

An intensive one day course for professionals giving evidence to the Family Courts


COURSE DESCRIPTION

The morning will consist of didactic teaching with lectures from keynote speakers. In the afternoon there will be three workshops focussing on

  • attachment and presentation to the Courts.
  • assessment of risk and presentation to the Courts.
  • writing reports to meet the Court's needs. 

Workshops will focus on practical skills as well as theory.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The development of skills, understanding and confidence of those professionals who are required to present evidence to the Court, particularly those who present ‘expert’ evidence. We will focus on key areas for the Family Court – Attachment, Risk Assessment and Management and Court Process.

COURSE PROGRAMME

    This is being finalised at present. The day is anticipated to begin at 09-00 and finish at 17-00.
